Rated 4 out of 5 by IsleRoyalite from Good Sun Shirts This is the fifth shirt of this type I've ordered for myself and for gifts. My only complaint with this medium-petite is that it's too snug through the mid-section, but perfect in sleeve length, shoulders and chest. I'm now finding that large sizes are too sloppy. I'd encourage a re-design, adding a couple of inches from underarm downward. Were it a dress shirt, I'd expect the slim look but for a sport shirt, some extra width should be acceptable. (For perfect fit measurements, refer to the Fleece-lined flannel small petite.) I speak on behalf of those of us who have had several babies and no surgical procedures to remove some extra girth in the mid-section.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zenwriter from Quality Shirt, Great for Arkansas Summers I bought the white in this last year and liked it so much I bought several colors this spring (lapis, sage, peach) along with both of the plaid ones. This shirt is comfortable in the heat of summer. It's great for going between the car and air conditioning when you want some kind of sleeves but nothing too much. It looks great with a tank or t-shirt under. Sometimes I button the middle button and sometimes I leave it open. I haven't had problems with the buttons and I have a slight disability of one hand. I've traveled to Central America in the past and I know these shirts would have come in handy on a trip. They wash up nice and are fast drying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Okanagan from Thank you for listening I have had 2 of these shirts in regular size small for years. (My husband also has 3 which he wears year round.) They don't wear out. They are wonderful shirts for keeping off sun and bugs. But I needed a petite small for that 'perfect' fit. Well, I just received my first petite small, my usual LLBean size, and it is perfect. Our summers are very hot and I live in these shirts as they are wash and wear, even if washed by hand. I never put them in the dryer. They are my staple shirt for travel, urban to jungle and mountains, for casual wear and dressed up with a scarf. Many of us have 'bugged' LLBean to offer this shirt in petite. You listened and I am thrilled with the fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by englishshepherdlover from Just About Perfect I once counted how many of these shirts that I had ordered over the years, and the number was 30. Obviously, I like them a lot, except for one feature. Whoever designed the rubber buttons should go to prison. They are impossibly difficult to push through the buttonholes. Who in the world decided to use these? I would like to make one more suggestion. I would love to have the option of a collarless shirt. The traditional collar is hot on warm, humid days such as today here in KS. I'm wearing one of the shirts as I type this and stopped working in my garden to come in to make this suggestion. I love the fabric, but a collarless version would be a nice option. Please change the buttons and make a shirt without a collar!

Rated 4 out of 5 by OctoberAmyCO from Fit is too close and shapely, but nice quality Very nice quality, and it appears to be lightweight although I haven't worn it outside. I'm sending it back for a Large because the Medium fit is too close, and shapely for my purpose. I want to wear it sailing over my swimsuit and I want a looser, more casual fit that allows my to move my arms freely. I feel tightness across the shoulders when it is buttoned. It is a beautiful fit for going shopping or to a restaurant, but not for boating and camping and hanging out outside. I am 5'8", 140lbs, with long arms and somewhat broad shoulders. The sleeves are not quite long enough either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LTBeanerFan from Good quality - new year changed fit Last year I bought every color available in the women's LS tropic wear Petite shirt. The XL fit perfectly! The peach color was backordered till Jan and when it arrived, the fit was not the same:( The overall body of the shirt was larger and the sleeves were longer. I compared them to the shirts I purchased last year and I wasn't imagining the size change...I wash my shirts in cold water and do not dry them, so that's not the answer. I tried the next size down to see if that would be a better fit. The L was a little too snug, so the new batch, sadly, is not going to work for me:( I'm also disappointed that the pink color is no longer available:(

Rated 5 out of 5 by njhpetite from Tropic wear shirt petite XS Ordered Tropicwear shirt, Lapis Quartz Blue in petite sizes XS and S. LL BEAN size petite XS or 4P is the size I always order. Based on other reviewers saying shirt runs small, ordered both sizes. In my case, shirt runs true to size, petite XS fit perfect. I'm 5ft tall, shirt hip length and sleeve length fit perfect. Nice shirt, good quality fabric (71% Nylon 29% Polyester shell). Collar tabs and sleeve tabs are secured by matching color nylon snaps. Shirt front buttons easily. Shirt has 2 front velcro close pockets and 1 zip pocket. Would recommend, plan to purchase more in different colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by skyscooter from Not Up To Par I have a few long-sleeve UPF 50+ shirts, great protection and so cool in summer with cape vents. Nice shape and dries quickly. The new shirt, made in Bangladesh, has a shorter back cape, stamped-on label, snaps on the roll up tab, and the fabric has pilled after 4 washings in cold water and hanger dried. My older shirts, made in Thailand, have a longer cape, classic fabric LLBean labels, buttons on the roll up tab, and the fabric is as nice as the day I bought them. Snaps might be more convenient; but for $54 I expected the same classic design and fabric quality.
