Our Katahdin Iron Works Engineer Boots are painstakingly handcrafted in the US from durable oiled-leather upper that gains more character with every wear.
Inspired by our original Engineer Boot
Water-resistant oiled-leather upper stands up to heavy wear
Classic Munson last and welted construction offer support and stability
These rugged boots were first developed by our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, "for Civil Engineers, Contractors and general outdoor workers where the best, as well as the most comfortable, shoes are required." Still handmade by the Chippewa® boot company, these boots feature a classic Munson last and premium Goodyear® welted construction for exceptional support and stability. Durable oiled-leather upper gains more character with every wear. A durable cork and Vibram® rubber outsole shakes off mud and can be easily resoled. Molded sock insert. Design and assembly USA, materials USA and imported.
