Rated 5 out of 5 by KarlK from Fantastic shirt deserves the spotlight I love this shirt! Why in the world LL Bean has relegated it to the Fishing and Hunting section is beyond me. It deserves to be center stage. I discovered it by accident when surfing for lightweight cotton shirts lighter than their sunwashed canvas shirts. This 4-oz. cotton fabric is sturdy and has not wrinkled as much as a competitor's 3.5-oz. cotton, a clammy-feeling, wrinkly, shapeless garment I will be sending back. I have two other poplin shirts on back order (tan and navy), and I will see how they hold up. This is a well-designed, well-constructed shirt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vintage1980 from Looks great with a kilt! I bought this to wear with my kilt at the highland games in the North Carolina mountains, and the khaki color looks great with my tartan. It's also very lightweight and much cooler than a competitor's cheaper poly/cotton blend version. In July in the N.C. mountains I did have damp armpits, but even with a backpack, my back and chest stayed dry, so it does a pretty good job of ventilation. The pockets are handy for a phone and a camera, making it great for travel. I wish the left pocket had a slit in the flap for a pen or sunglasses. It does wrinkle somewhat easily, requiring ironing if you want it to look crisp. I definitely will order one more soon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by TheRealMcCoy from Great shirt, perfect weight material. Love the pockets. I have two more of this shirt, in blue and green. Wish there were more colors. The epaulets are surplus for me. The material is the perfect weight, a little noisy, though it is getting quieter with washings. I wear long sleeves all the time for sun protection, and this shirt is perfect for where I live. For colder weather, layer. I'm a long-sleeved shirt guy and this shirt works for me. I just wish it came in more colors, which I already said, but I'm hoping LLBean is reading this. Oh, the pockets could be a little deeper; I always carry a pen and the flap needs to be higher above the pocket for my pen, or make the pocket a little bigger. The pen goes with the pocket notebook I carry in a back pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HowieandAnnie from Great shirts! Love this shirt! Nice lightweight but sturdy cotton, comfortably roomy (NOT a slim-tailored shirt, but plenty of room for real people without looking terribly baggy). Machine-washes and tumble-dries perfectly. If you remove it quickly from the dryer, it should need no ironing. A bonus for "Indiana Jones" fans: this shirt (in the color Cement) is pretty darn close in color and style to the shirt Harrison Ford wore in the movies (only missing the full-length vertical front pleats).

Rated 5 out of 5 by PetePerspective from Well Made Well Worn Great color (cement) goes with a lot nicely. Very comfortable and the description of a relaxed fit is spot on. More room at the waist for those hot days. I bought a medium and I'd say it runs on the medium-large side. Not a bad thing if thats what you're looking for. Love wearing it tucked in for work and out to flap in the breeze on a warm day. Going to get a few of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BillWillametteValley from Nicely made shirt Quality of construction and materials is excellent. I would have preferred a pleat in the back, but no matter. These do run a bit large, so don't order a large if you often wear a medium.

Rated 4 out of 5 by buckchaser from Good, with a proviso... This shirt is tough as nails and looks great - I really love it and bought a second one - but it wears warm. It makes you feel sticky and clammy on a hot day, and doesn't breathe well at all. The cloth is so tightly woven it holds in heat and moisture like a polyester shirt would. Maybe after about 100 washes it will loosen up? I've washed each of them about a dozen times and can see no appreciable difference. Very tough shirt but I'm not sure if I can endure it in our sticky southern summers.
