Rated 3 out of 5 by agnesnutter from very warm, but snug and cheap stitching I bought this in-store in October. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit snug, so I also suggest ordering a size up. My biggest issue with it is that the hem in the bottom came unraveled after two washes (washed per the instructions). This wasn't a super easy fix for someone who barely knows which end of the needle is which, like me, because there is elastic around the bottom and sleeves to keep the chill out (which is does admirably). I wanted the sweatshirt for a trip, so I didn't have the time to get a replacement sent out and ended up paying to have the hem put back in. I've been disappointed with LL Bean's quality lately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by malitroobs from Cozy yet sturdy - a worthwhile L.L. Bean purchase I'd been on the fence about this fleece for over a year now, as I live in Florida and only need warm layers a few months out of the year. I'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger - I can already tell this fleece was a worthwhile investment! It is soft on the inside & sturdy on the outside, and I imagine it will look great for years to come, unlike cheaper fleeces that pill easily. I have to disagree with other reviews about sizing - I am generally a 10-12 but ordered the L due to the reviews. While I'm keeping the L for the roominess I like in a fleece, I could have comfortably worn a M as the sizing chart suggests.

Rated 5 out of 5 by celeryheart from Better than the other brand I have this sweater from LLBean and I have this sweater from another high end outdoor company...they call it the Better Sweater, but I can assure you that LLBeans is $30 less expensive, built better, fits more comfortably, and is made out of the exact same material--so who has the better sweater? This sweater is built to last, warm and cozy, affordable and looks great on. It is the perfect weekend wear for the northeast--looking great with slacks or jeans, and even layers well with a tank and denim skirt for chilly starts to the day. The fit is true to size. Thanks LLBean! This one is a keeper!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sunfish810 from disappointed...big time! Purchased this garment last year to wear during the cold winter instead of the big cashmere sweater I hang out in! This garment is weirdly SHAPed and does not breathe! It is heavy feeling when on and is not something that has a lot of comfort. Rarely do I buy something at llbean that I hate, but this thing ranks right up there. I have no idea where they got this fabric! I have lots of fleece items from Bean and they are soft and comfortable. This thing is like cardboard! It has no redeeming features that I can think of and I even, after writing all this, should probably send it back because it really does leave a bad taste in my mouth with respect to the company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jvBeattie from Fabulous Fleece; Plan to Buy Multiples! I am in love with my LL Bean Sweater Fleece pullover. I received it just in time for a trip to Whistler, BC and am so glad I threw it in my bag at the last minute. I'm honestly not sure I took it off the entire time I was there! It great on it's own, just over a t-shirt, but I definitely wore it as a layering piece under a heavier rain jacket too. The Pewter color is super flattering and goes with dark jeans and Bean boots very nicely. The fit is a bit boxy, but I prefer my fleeces to not be too fitted so I can layer up as needed. I plan to buy more colors so I am never without a Sweater Fleece! I am 6'1", 36A chest, 160lbs and wear a Medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CozyNovaScotian from Perfect fit I love this sweater, it is very warm, comfortable, and attractive looking compared to similar items from other brands. I am 102lbs 5'4" and bought a size XS, and it fits perfectly to my liking. A size XXS also fit, but was a tad bit too fitted as I wanted this sweater slightly looser. It fits very nicely (my favourite part!) and doesn't look boxy. After many washes, it has a nice worn look to it, hasn't faded or changed size/shape. I only wish there were different colours! As a redhead I love earthy tones that go well with my hair colour. Unfortunately, there are no earthy tones, but I bought the Purple Sunset which looks more blue. Definitely considering buying another in the Dark Charcoal Heather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ActiveEngineer from Perfect Fit, Warm Despite Billboard on Chest Love the slightly longer length: body length hits just above mid hip and sleeves cover the wrists. I'm 5'6" & 130 pounds. Medium was roomy enough to fit over button down shirts but not too bulky. Shoulders are nicely tailored, square. Great quality. I ranked 4 rather than 5 because of two things. 1) 1/4 zip could be longer. A collared shirt feels cramped around the neck and I can't get the layered look I desire. 2) The LLBean label on the front is like a huge name tag. AWFUL. But! I easily (carefully) removed it with a small blade cutting each stitch. No damage was done to the item. So I would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by WriterWithADayJob from So comfy, it's almost as good as a hug This pullover is my new favorite, go-to top. I bought it while the weather was still warm, and I used the first dip in the temperature as an excuse to wear it as a shirt (no turtleneck, undershirt, etc.). It felt *wonderful.* I received several compliments from people who don't toss pleasantries around. The "kangaroo" pocket is capacious without being bulky or saggy. Now that the cold is here, I wear it nearly every week. I am buying the jacket version to add to the rotation. As comfy as it is, I offer one note of caution: It's not windproof or even wind-resistant. A breeze cuts right through it, so I recommend having several additional layers when you wear it on a cool and windy day.
