Rated 5 out of 5 by MeadowBrookGuide from Light weight, wind resistant, warm This jacket is slightly fitted with room for layering. The hood is not too small and not too large, just right. Love the zip up pockets which are fleece lined on the inside. Many people have commented on the sleeves being difficult to pull on over other long sleeve shirts. I do find this true depending on the material. I would purchase this jacket again hands down. Light weight, warm, and keeps me dry. Perfect for Maine weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bigredtruck from Tall teen My teen son is tall and very thin. He found this jacket when we visited the flagship store in March. A helpful employee tracked down the right size (tall medium) in the color he wanted. Perfect fit! Not bulky, soft inside, he wore this for the rest of our trip. He used this as an additional layer under his Weather Challenger 3-in-1 jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mand from What I wanted + good quality I actually really like this. The outer material is a little different than I was expecting, but I think it's just hard to tell what it's like from the pictures. It is comfy and fits well and I think is a great replacement for my wind challenger hoodie (which I loved but returned due to terrible zippers). These zippers are better so far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by jimste from Slightly snug in sleeves Overall very nice jacket, however if you wear it with a long sleeve shirt you will have some difficulty putting on the jacket without the sleeves riding up. Other than that, nice fit, very comfortable and does well in cool weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Summitchallenger from A Homerun I saw this last year on the site and saved it to my wish list. Recently I was at the U.S. Ski Team Freestyle Championships and saw that they had these on sale (with the Ski Team Logo) since LL Bean is a sponsor (very cool). I was immediately impressed to see it in person and had to get one. Since I got it a few weeks ago my initial thoughts have been confirmed--a real winner here. Love it. First, the fabric has just enough insulation to be comfy and warm and just enough stretch to fit and look good. Unlike similar "urban technical hoodies", this model ensures a good warm fit thanks to the hem cord on the bottom that seals out the cold. Huge bonus. The hood is generous, soft, and comfortable. The face fabric is soft, durable, and pill-proof. A big problem with your "average fleece" is matting and pilling...I don't foresee this being an issue with this. The color is nice. This can fit in great for travel, active-use, skiing (it fits great under a hardshell and is warm), and casual wear. It is light and packable. The sleeves are not at all restrictive--in fact no part of the this coat is at all restrictive. The stretch side panels are so comfortable and ensure a good fit. The flap on the inside of the zipper is soft and keeps wind out and the collar is nice and warm. The three zipped pockets offer generous storage for keys, a phone, or credit cards/ID and the hip pockets are fleece lined for cold days. There are some minor changes I'd like to see. First, I'd like thumb holes on the cuffs. Those are a nice feature that I do use for something like this on a cool night. Second, I'd like the length to be a tad bit longer for me. It sits right on the hip, but a few inches longer would be good. The pockets do sit just at or above the belt line for a backpack on me and I'd like them just a bit higher. And last, the fit trim but not too tight. Maybe a little more room would be nice, but it is not as tight as other brands and works fine for me. High-quality items like this, at a very good pricepoint, are why I like LL Bean items. Keep up these very well designed pieces that are not at entry-level or top-of-the-line prices (such as the Ascent Line). A homerun here for the active outdoors enthusiast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by goose from very nice I'm sure there are many out there that would find this to be a perfect fit in their life style. I was excited to find a hooded fleece that was wind resistant, but when it arrived it just did not seem that exciting or special. It was thinner fleece than I expected, and I was not sure from the description, but the outer surface is smooth. After trying it on, I decided the hood was too loose for me, and without being able to find something special about it, I returned it.The fit in the body and sleeves was good but I would have added thumb holes and made the sleeves a tad bit longer. I also did not like the contrasting colors of the stitching. All those things would have been acceptable if it had been a new and exciting product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MomfromBuffalo from Great light weight Jacket Bought this for my husband an avid supporter of the US Ski team and coach of a local ski club and high school ski racing team. He loves it, light weight but warm, great hood! He is 5'9 180 and a large was what I bought him. It is not tight fitting and if you want it to be I would go down a size.
