Rated 5 out of 5 by melville74 from Finally, Good Fitting Jeans For Adults I work in IT and our environment is business casual. We can wear nice jeans to work. I needed a new pair that were within this category. I am also 37 years old and didn't want the ridiculous looking "skinny" jeans (ie yoga pants) that the young guys are wearing these days. Thankfully, I thought to look at llbean.com. I got the dark rinse and they are perfect. Not too much fabric, not too little. (Too much/baggy fabric is also a problem when buying jeans.) I plan on buying another pair. Perfect for the office or a night out. I am 5'9, 165# and wear a 35/30. These are spot on. Thanks for still catering to adults, LL Bean. (And thanks for carrying a 35 waist, which is hard to find!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by AZhokie from Inconsistent Waist Sizing After ordering and returning 3 pairs of these jeans, I am very disappointed with the inconsistent waist sizing. Typically wear a 32 inch waist. However, these jeans have a waist that varies significantly larger (2 plus inches) from label. Have been ordering a 31 inch waist size to compensate. After 2-3 wearings, waist is stretched out at least another inch causing excess material bunching under a belt. Very poor fit in the waist. While denim is comfortable, manufacturing inconsistencies in waist sizing does not meet normal Bean quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hampsteader from Giving up on Bean Jeans after decades I've worn LLBean jeans for decades, although I haven't purchased any in the last 2 years or so. Over the past few months I have tried to replace jeans (that I loved) a couple of times with no success. The sizing is inconsistent and cuts have all changed and no longer suit me. I have a stocky, solid build yet I find all the jeans I have tried in my normal size to be TOO BIG and somewhat baggy, while the next size down is uncomfortable. This last pair of 1912 jeans was 1.75" bigger in the waist than stated and just shy of two inches longer- that's a whole size bigger! They looked good and the fabric felt nice, but if the jeans don't fit, it doesn't matter how nice they look. I am disappointed. I have found a similar problem with long sleeve shirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hickoryshirt from 1912 Jeans I recently bought two pair of the 1912 Jeans. They are the best fitting best feeling jeans I have ever worn. They fit snugly at the seat, and legs but not too snugly. The waist and inseam fit perfectly as well. The material is very soft to the touch. They aren't as heavy as some jeans and I like that! I have never had more comments on my jeans than with these. They were on sale as well and that didn't hurt one bit. It's not easy to find jeans that fit this 70 year old body well. I recommend these to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KateD from Great fit for a stocky build This is my third time buying these jeans. My son is stocky - I guess you would call it a linebacker build. These are the only jeans we've found that fit nicely in the waist without being huge in the seat and the thighs. The denim is a lighter weight than others but that works nicely here in the south. I definitely wouldn't suggest this style if you're looking for a trim fit or if you have a tall, thin frame. I do agree with a previous commenter who noted that these jeans run short. I size up at least an inch in length but stay true to size in the waist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by inVaUSA from Sizing Off I really like the Standard Fit at LLBean and wear it in their Khaki pants. I found that the 1912 jeans are about 2" longer than other LLBean pants. I typically wear a 35 x 34 in standard pants, but in these I had to exchange for 35 x32 cause they are actually 2" longer. They are slightly tighter in the thigh than I would prefer, but expect them to stretch some over time. Like others have said, they are a lighter denim, but not excessively so. The belt loops are very wide in my opinion and I would prefer two loops in the rear vs a single loop directly in back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not sturdy but comfortable jeans I ordered a pair each of the 1912 jeans and the Double L style to compare. Both fit well and are quite comfortable but I don't expect them last more than 6 months; light weekend work is already stressing the knees. The Double L fabric is thin enough but the 1912 denim is positively gossamer; I just don't see the point unless Bean is targeting folks who wear jeans to galas with tuxedo jackets and tennis shoes. Can Bean please make a rugged work jean, more in-keeping with their great outdoor-inspired reputation? So why don't I go for Levis or Wrangler? Both of those shops have opted to reduce the number of back belt loops and lowered the rise for the younger set, which I decidedly am not. Please Beanman, some of us in our 60s still need to get out and haul in wood! Thanks, Ray

Rated 4 out of 5 by AKMJ from Great Fabric for the Price! $50 gets you very nice feeling denim. I haven't had a soft, comfortable pair of jeans like this before. Was looking at $100+ jeans, but chose these since they used made in America fabric. My usual Eddie Bauers are quite stiff, and they kind of suck. I just get them at sales for $20. Super glad I made the switch!!! The larger waist is vanity size gone crazy - but it was actually kind of nice, as they made it smart and didn't make the entire pair of jeans weird and baggy. If you're a bit smaller than the size you normally wear, I'd suggest ordering a size down. The length seemed a bit on the long side too. Overall - fantastic jeans! Tru-Blue is a great color for light brown shoes. Am going to order their dark pair for a dark brown pair of dress shoes. Yes, they work with dress shoes (albiet with thicker soles).
