Rated 4 out of 5 by Canadienne from Nice pants for hiking and sports These pants will be great for kids doing active sports, such as skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, cycling as well as hiking. They're quite light and don't restrict movement, they don't soak through afterwards and make kids feel chilled like cotton long-johns can. I made a mistake by bying these pants for my daughter as the first-layer under her denims and cords for daily wear. They are not really meant for that and didn't keep her warm. I'm getting her a set of LL Bean cotton long johns instead, which should do the trick. I am still rating these pants high as they are quite nice as the first layer for sports and hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsTeapot from The way to fight blustery conditions After a fall game in cold, nasty weather gave her chillblains on her legs, my daughter finally caved in and asked for a pair of underlayer pants she could wear under her soccer shorts. I looked for the expedition weight, but sadly, they aren't being offered now. So I purchased these and they arrived in time for the next game. She was able to move easily, they wicked sweat well and kept her comfortable during the game. She wore them in the car for three hours after the game, threw a pair of windpants over them and wore them that afternoon and evening all around Silver Dollar City and Branson. She was warmer and more comfortable than her parents!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sharkgirl from indispensable! My son, now 11, has been wearing these long underwear for YEARS. From pre-k through second grade, he was in parochial school, so he had to wear a uniform. Chinos just aren't warm enough for Maine winters, but there were many days when he didn't want to wear snowpants. The wicked warm long underwear are the perfect solution - an extra layer to help keep him warm outside without overheating inside. He wears them almost every day, from October to May!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CanadianBean from Long underwear These pants are essential for skiing. They wick the moisture away from the skin and I have been wearing them for years. Now that I found these here my girls have the proper layer for their ski lessons. I ordered a 10/12 for my almost 7 year old who is quite tall. They are too big so I would say that you should order these true to size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Broncobuff from Shrank a little I bought the mid-wt. top and bottom in sz large for my 80 lb., 5 foot tall son. They were a little over sized right out of the package as I anticipated. Once through the washer and dryer on low heat and they are too short now. Never would have guessed we'd need sz. 16-18 (XL). Otherwise nice fabric and construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gulfangel from Awesome! These are perfect in every way. My grandson is autistic and very picky. He will not sleep in anything else but these and I cannot find them anywhere else. I intend to order many more of these and the size is true to the chart. Thank you L.L. Bean. Awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deafman from Great Looking Pajamas for Girls My daughter really loves these. It's her first pair of pajamas from LL Bean. I wanted her to have a decent pair of pajamas instead of something from a chain store that won't last long. Most of her PJ's are handmade by her mother, but this one was nice enough to buy. I hope it lasts as long as my LL Bean pajamas do (for men), which usually last 5 or more years with occasional mending of weak spots like knees and ripped buttons. However, it is too early to say whether they will hold up as well as those once made in America.
