Rated 5 out of 5 by BeanBC from Rainproof, cozy and safe! This jacket is warm and provides great coverage, particularly in the hood. It's also a lifesaver -- literally. When it's raining and gloomy, drivers have a hard time seeing people in dark or neutral colors. My child was wearing this jacket in the marigold color from a couple years back, and I was wearing a pink rain hat and carrying her, crossing an alleyway in the driving rain. An SUV came whipping around the corner and screeched to a stop just short of us. The driver got out, shaking, and said if it hadn't been for the bright rainwear, he probably wouldn't have noticed us in time to stop. Thanks, LL Bean -- Keep the vibrant colors coming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by tickbitesue from Function over fashion I needed a really warm, waterproof, reflective coat for my daughter who spends a lot of time outdoors - this coat fit all the criteria! Great value- perfect for long periods of time in the Fall rainy, windy, damp weather - I wasn't a big fan of the color choices -and it looked toddlerish to me ( I didn't tell my daughter that) and almost didn't order because they were so bright - but the coat is comfortable and warm - well worth it!!!! Unlike other reviewers I found the sizing fine- we always go up a size in coats - so she can layer - and the cuffs are adjustable with Velcro so that you can have a close fit around the wrist - Great coat!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaestraMeg from Just perfect! I purchased two of these jackets in preparation for a trip to the Netherlands in the spring (windy, chilly, rainy weather). A size large for my 11 year old daughter (who usually wears a size 12-14) and a size small for my 8 year old daughter (who usually wears a size 8). They both fit perfectly and were worth every cent! They both had just enough room for them to layer underneath, and will be able to wear them for a long time. They held up and kept them warm and dry in the crazy weather. Upon returning home, I washed and dried them, and they look good as new. I'm a very satisfied customer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BCWestCoastMamma from Awesome jacket, but fits big! I have nothing but great things to say about this jacket. It's worth every penny! The fleece lining and solid zipper will make this a perfect jacket for my daughter. It does fit big though. I originally ordered a 5/6 (medium) as my daughter is 5yrs old, has a 24 inch chest and is 44 inches tall. It's HUGE! Easily 8 inches too long on her arms (too long to roll up). I have put that aside for when she grows and ordered a 4 (small) and it fits perfect. She has about 3 inches of room in the sleeves for growth and the back of the jacket falls below her bum. We will get a lot of use out of both jackets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RDFJ from Great rain jacket for No.California Our winter has been rainy and cold in Northern California and the lined Trail Model Rain Jacket has been the perfect jacket for my daughter. It adds some warmth and comfort over an unlined jacket, but it's not too hot. She has stayed dry when walking in the rain. I bought her the size 8 and it's on the verge of being too big. (She's slender 91/2 year old, 4'11", 60 ish lbs.) I think she will get a couple years of wear out of it. She thinks that it is very comfortable. She likes that it has a cozy inside and that it isn't too crinkly. Just what we needed for our version of winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GA101 from It's a big jacket! I ordered this jacket for my 8-year-old granddaughter, and got the Size Medium. She is tall but slim, and the medium is huge on her. We are sending it back for a size Small. The Azure is very pretty. The fleece lining is cozy, and the length is nice and long. It's a great jacket for the price. Just be sure you measure your child before ordering. The Small is for 27" chest measurement, and my little one is only 25" around so I was way off base getting that Medium!

Rated 4 out of 5 by NWdadof2 from Perfect jacket- except Flame color this year Have bought 4 or 5 of these jackets for my 2 boys, now 9 and 12. They are great jackets. Bought the flame for my 12 yr old, this fall and had to send it back. He's had two prior versions of the orange/ flame. the Fall 2015 was MUCH brighter and more of a safety orange/ almost pink. I don't think the web site photos were updated b/c the jacket we received was waaay different in color than it appears on the web site. I had to send it back b/c he didn't like the color. No one else makes a good light fleece lined jacket like these unfortunately. He's still wearing his medium version, which he's barely able to fit into. These coats are great for cool wet weather. My kids have worn these coats for 90% of the cool, wet Seattle winters. Highly recommend this jacket, but be warned about the flame color this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mommyof8 from BEST EVER 3 years ago I bought one for each of my daughters (5,7,9). These jackets have been their only coats for all types of weather. They have used them in rain and snow. They have thrown them on the ground and hidden them in leaf piles. I have washed them as much as sweatshirts and jeans! 3 years later and they are still in perfect condition. No fading, no rips, no broken zippers. Good enough condition that they can be used another year! Thank you for making a product that truly lasts through kid use.
