Rated 4 out of 5 by Ed1959 from Nice Sweatshirt Medium weight, nice material, well constructed and it should last several seasons. The stand-up collar is just that...stand-up. It will not lay down and the top corners where the zipper ends hits me in the neck and chin. Not a big problem, but a tad irritating. Also, be prepared to remove "pills" after the first laundering. I used a lint roller and then hand picked the the stubborn pills that accumulated on the neck line. The fit of the XL is full, but not too big and I'm an XL in just about every brand. I ordered the canoe green and it's a little darker than pictured, but a very nice shade of green. Fix the collar on this sweatshirt and it gets 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by leblisa from Nice & warm I received this for Christmas, having asked for a nice sweatshirt that is comfy in the house yet not embarrassing to be seen out in public in. I've worn it several times and washed/dried it once. The size runs true, it didn't shrink much, it's well-made, warm, very comfortable. The zip neck makes it more stylish than the crew neck style ones. I may sew the pockets shut and cut off the inside pouches because I have enough 'natural pouch' down in the belly area, but the pockets don't actually add that much bulk. Mine seems a slightly darker shade of blue than my computer monitor shows, but it's definitely the same color. I'm pleased with my sweatshirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLRay from Sweat suit I'm between sizes but choose the XXL Pant and shirt in light gray. I love the fit and quality is superb. Washes well No shrinkage. Warm cozy comfortable. The little extras are appreciated. 3 pockets on pants and eleastic cuffs. I will get the pants with a fly next time. The shirt has a turned up collar and zip front to cool down if needed or zip up when cold. Hand warming pockets on shirt big enough to carry phone, wallet, 2 sets of keys, handkerchief, and comb. I wear these everywhere not just working out. The comfort and warmth are top notch. Very pleased with, yet another LLBean product. I highly recommend them both. Shirt and pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bluedun from 1/4 zip sweat shirt Since reading about how micro bits of poly-fleece are polluting the oceanic food chain in the San Jose Mercury recently, I have started to junk my fleece and replace it with it other warmth--sweatshirts for daily wear. Your Athletic Sweats are doing well here in the San Francisco Bay Area as a layering factor. SFBA November means daytime highs in the mid-sixties. Your dense knit sweats are just right over a t-shirt and shirt for the early morning walk in the 40's or 50's to coffee talk with friends. I also have the full zip t-neck. Maybe for our "winter" I'll buy a hoodie. These sweats don't shrink much either! And, when dirty from chores, they wash out well. Yay!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BakerBee from Perfect look and fit! I bought this sweatshirt for my husband as a replacement for one that he loves that he received as a gift several years ago, but the store is now long gone. I came across this one when I was browsing through my new LL Bean catalog. It looked almost the same as the one he has. We live on the lake and he needed something warm, but not bulky. So, I decided to take a chance on this one. Boy, am I glad I did! This is just what he wanted. The fit, color, and med. weight is perfect! An added bonus for him was it has pockets. I have now washed this several times. It has not shrunk or faded at all! He loves it so much that I will be ordering this in different colors for him. Thanks LL Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RPCrowley from Bring back mountain red and bright green I've gone through 2 or 3 mountain red (254673) quarter zip sweats over the years and need a new one to replace my old beat-up faded shirt. First red, wasn't offered. Now I discover deep red is offered, but is sold out with no indication of a back order option. Please put these back in stock for the fall season. Same with the bright green (O GAS 6). Mins is so old it came with the label sewn in. They're still solid, just faded and stained a bit. Thanks for adding the black. I'll order it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jambeaux from Quarter Zip Washes Poorly, Pills Badly Quarter Zip is heavy enough and fit is good, but unlike the pictured product the inside is cheap white fleece. Followed the laundry instructions on the tag but after washing the fleece is all over the garment in small pills. No amount of laundering will get the pills off; clothes brush and tape won't even get them off. Horrible product; won't buy another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BenL from Great Sweatshirt This a great sweatshirt. I bought this sweatshirt to replace one of my "everyday" sweatshirts that had finally fallen apart. I also have a pair of the LL Bean sweatpants that are now one of my favorites, so I decided to give the LL Bean sweatshirts a try. I'm glad I did. This sweatshirt is very comfortable and is on the heavier side of fabric, so it's very warm. I'm 5'10" 160 lbs. and I bought a Large size since it's my lounging "wear-around-the-house" sweatshirt. If I wanted one to wear elsewhere, and wasn't wearing a sweater, I'd go a size smaller to a Medium so it would be a little less baggy.
